Try to implement these best practices to increase your chances of improving your Getwork business on the app & website.

  • Make a good impression. As early as bidding on projects, make yourself stand out from the rest. Present yourself professionally, and tailor your proposal to what the project requires. State what you will provide, how much it will cost, and how long it will take you to deliver.
  • Background check. Clients consider several factors when deciding who to work with, so it is only fair for you to do the same to them. See the About the Employer sections of projects and work for a general idea about their accounts, payments, and reviews.
  • Do not bite off more than you can chew. As tempting as it is to accept more work in order to earn more, compromising quality just to finish the workload that you accepted can reflect on client feedback, which can hurt your reputation on the site and app.
  • Stay on the site. Keep communications and payments within Getwork app. This ensures you have the best possible protection in an unlikely event of a dispute. Why look for third-party resources when you have our Messaging at your disposal?
  • Keep an eye out. While some don’ts are basic like work/project non-completion and not using copyrighted work, there are other things that are not allowed on the site, and those that can possibly harm you. Be vigilant.
  • Be accessible. Make yourself available even if you are away from your workstation. Install the Mobile App so you can chat with clients on-the-go.
  • Go the extra mile. If trying to give your best in all your work becomes habitual, it will eventually be synonymous to your brand. Clients will keep coming back to you, and your client base will be a lot bigger without you realizing it.

We expect all Getwork users to uphold our Code of Conduct and adhere to our Terms and Conditions to maintain safety, trust, and professionalism within the marketplace. Utter disregard of the site rules, including the following activities, warrants immediate account suspension or closure:

Performing or participating on fraudulent activities

Abusing or harassing other users

Extortion or blackmail for positive reviews and/or additional payment

Deceiving other users of Getworkapp.com

Attempting to game the referral programs. This applies to the Give/Get Program and 0% Fees Promotion.

Falsifying identification documents. This involves submission of fake or altered verification documents.

Spreading viruses or malicious site links

Manipulating the Dispute Resolution System

Gaming the feedback system to gain a positive reputation on the site

Buying or selling of GetWork App accounts

Posting or participating on projects that violate our Terms and Conditions, such as money laundering, spamming, and hacking

Account suspension or closure due to any of these violations is final and irreversible.

We have set in place security measures to detect and counter fraudulent behavior on the site. However, out of an abundance of caution, we listed three common scam warning signs so you can spot them easily. These are not definite indicators of fraudulent activity, but it is best for you to avoid them

Your client is requiring you to pay them before you are awarded the work.

As a worker or freelancer, you are not required to pay clients in order to be awarded projects. Penalties are warranted to clients who ask for payment from bidders. Payment for works, which should be in the form of Milestones, should only happen in in progress projects once the client is satisfied with your output and directly pay to you.

Your client is asking you to transfer money.

If the project that you are bidding or working on requires you to send money or even Bitcoins , it is likely a money exchange project. Money exchange is in violation of our Terms and Conditions. Refrain from making purchases for clients as well if you are not awarded the project yet.

In the case of in progress projects, with the agreement between you and your client and with Milestones created for you, you may pay for initial project expenses if they are necessary to complete the work, say, royalty for stock images or sign-up fee to paid sites. These are usually reimbursed by the client, but make sure that this kind of agreement is communicated properly.

The project requires your personal details and/or documents.

Some of your personal information can potentially be traced back to you. These are called personal identifiable information (PII).

Projects that require you to verify your phone number, submit government-issued IDs, or provide contact details or documents that can prove your identity could compromise your personal information. Take extra precaution before filling out forms asking for these details.

We strongly encourage you to report to us when you come across these warning signs while looking for or working on projects. Just scroll down this page and click Contact Us.

Work / Project

Looking for work on the app or website can be done in a number of ways.

From the Getwork menu

Click Getwork from the app bottom menu, and choose Work, if you are looking to work on projects. If you want to join work, choose work and filter accordingly.

On the Getwork Menu, you can filter the projects by the following:

  • Project Type

  • Listing Types
  • Categories

If you meet the requirements of the Service, you will be added to the pool of service providers. You will be assigned a work/project when a client requests for that particular service. Otherwise, a list of the conditions that you have to meet first will be displayed.

Getwork makes sure all posted works are legitimate. We do not allow projects with content that may harm the business operation or reputation of getworkapp.com, or cause possible loss of the services of its suppliers.

The following projects violate our Terms and Conditions. Clients should not post projects of this nature.

  • Advertisements
  • Asking for/generation of fake likes, views, followers, reviews, votes, downloads, comments
  • Buying or selling of end-products
  • Captcha Projects: bypass, keylogger, etc
  • Cloning
  • Contains racist or discriminating remarks
  • Craigslist projects
  • Creation, buying, or selling of accounts
  • Creation of bots for cheating, bypassing, or circumventing of systems
  • eBay spamming
  • Clients looking for work
  • Hacking, reverse-engineering, skimming, cracking, clickjacking, decompiling, Cryptowall, or dropper software
  • Falsification of documents, removing watermarks

  • Silent doc exploit/FUD (fully undetectable)
  • Selling of stolen scripts

If you’re a worker/freelancer and you’re wondering if you can sell ready-made solutions, the answer is yes. This is as long as your client agrees to this, and you have proper rights to sell the solution.

If you encounter projects with similar nature as the ones listed above, report them to us by clicking the Report Project link found on the bottom of work page of the project, below all details.

Refer to our Terms and Conditions to know more. If you have further queries, scroll down and click Contact Us.

Note: Project fees or any funds associated with work projects in violation of our Terms and Conditions are non-refundable.

After completing the bidding requirements, you can proceed to bid on work projects:

     1.  Click Getwork from the bottom menu and select Work Projects to view available projects requiring skills that match yours.

Filter options are available on the top-right home page. You can filter projects by Type Categories, Skills, Listing Types (upgrades), Budget.

     2.  To view more details about the work projects that you are interested in, simply click on them from the project list.

     3.  Read the work description thoroughly.  When you are certain that you can do the work and that the project is right for you, start filling out the bidding input found below the project’s description page.

     4.  Enter your best bid amount & delivery time.

     5.  You can also sponsor your bid offer (optional).

     6.  Click Place Bid to submit your bid offer.

Each client is as different as each worker, freelancer is; so there is no “magic formula” that works for every bid. To help increase the chances that a prospective client will seriously consider your bid, here are some things we suggest you practice:

  • Read the work/project description thoroughly. Take the time to go through the project description. If the client feels that you do not understand the project enough, you are not likely to make the shortlist.
  • Keep your bid amount clear and concise. Clients may have many bids to consider. Make your bid proposal affordable but clear.
  • Be competitive with your pricing. Being competitive does not necessarily mean bidding low. Whole marketplace makes for tough competition. If you are relatively new to freelancing, you may need to establish a reputation first. But if your work is truly above average, price it properly. Some clients are willing to pay for quality.
  • Do not oversell yourself. A little self-confidence is a good thing, but over-the-top claims is not likely to impress anyone. Being honest about your skills will get you much further than a lot of hype.
  • Proofread your bid before you submit it. No matter what kind of project you are bidding on, a poorly-written proposal suggests lacking of attention to details and poor work habits, neither of which is going to work in your favor.

After placing your bid offer, we encourage implementing the following practices to further improve your chances of winning projects:

  • Upload work samples to your portfolio. Quality, not quantity, is usually the rule of thumb when uploading samples on your portfolio. Make sure that your samples are appropriate for the work/job and that they represent your best work.
  • Protect your work. Any samples you provide (should clients ask) should bear a watermark or other means of identification. It can also at least include your name and a statement of copyright.
  • Try to respond promptly when the client contacts you through a private message. Most clients award work/projects within the first 24 hours of posting. So make sure to keep yourself available.
  • Always stay in contact using our mobile apps. Install the mobile app, and stay in touch with clients on-the-go.

To make sure you can bid on work/projects, complete these steps:

  • Verify your phone & ID. Verify the Phone number linked to your GetWrok app account, and verify OTP. Check the Identity verification page in profile menu in App and follow the instructions provided.
  • Update your skills. You can only bid on a project if you have at least one of the skills required for it.
  • Update your profile. Upload a professional profile picture, and add a profile headline, summary, and rate. You also need to update your Language Settings and Location by going to your Settings Menu page.

On completion of any work you’ve accepted, before leaving the workplace or clients contact you must ask to complete the payment with whatever suitable method. Do not give ratings or mark project/work completed If didn’t get paid for work. Report user directly from their profile if they didn’t pay for your work or contact us directly.

As GetWork not responsible for any work payments user must communicate before accepting the work about payment terms with client.

The Jobs Completed Rate indicates a freelancer’s success rate in completing projects. It is also known as the Completion Rate. Note that the projects have to be completed and paid workers directly on Getwork App in order for them to contribute to the Completion rate.
